To help with all your Flingr questions, here's a few of the answers to the largest amount of questions we receive.

Where can I check my messages, friend requests, etc?
All your alerts are found at the top of the page, on the "alert bar". It has little symbolic buttons which stand for what the alerts are for. If you don't know what the button means, just hover over them and it'll inform you as to its purpose (like blog alert, friend request, etc). Simply clicking the button will show you the alerts, if any.

How do I change my profile picture?
This is rather simple to do. Go to your profile page by loggin in, or clicking the Flingr logo. Then, click on the image which says "No Picture Available" at the top left of the page. There you'll see a box which says you currently have "no albums". So, what you'll want to do is create an album by clicking the tab at the top of that box. Name it whatever you'd like, "My Friends", "Me", etc. The album will then be created after you submit it. Now, to actually add pictures. Open up your newly created album. At the top of that box, you'll see a tab which says "Add Pic". That's what you'll want to use. Click that, and select a picture to upload. Click submit, and it should upload and resize properly. If it's the first picture you've ever added, it'll be your default picture. If you have multiple, you can specify the default picture by clicking the related link at the bottom of the picture within the album view.

I haven't received my confirmation email. Where is it and how do I resend it?
This is a very common problem. The email occasionally will be rejected by a spam filter. If you haven't received it, that's the likely culprit. For things like Yahoo! Mail, it most likely will be located within your "Bulk Email" folder. If it is, unjunk it. For other email's such as Hotmail, it may be located in your Spam folder. Please unjunk them.
To increase the likelihood of receiving your confirmation email, please add "support@flingr.com" to your address book (or white list). This will allow you in most cases to receive the email without any troubles.
Now, how do you resend the confirmation email you say? Well, simply visit the Resend Confirmation Tool.

I'm not receiving my alert emails, even though they're enabled for my account. Help!
For regular email systems, please add "notify@flingr.com" to your address book/white list. Also, please unjunk it from your spam/junk/bulk email folders. That'll help you and everyone else to receive the emails. More tips can be found in the above answer.

How do I customize my profile?
Well, at the moment aside from the ability to add pictures and such -- there's no way. We're currently working on changing that by adding a template editor. So just hang tight :)

How do I add music and video to my profile page?
Adding video is very simple using Flingr. In the "edit profile" section of the site (on the top toolbar) -- there's a tab called Video. Click that and enter in the URL to the video. Now, we support 2 different video services: Google Video, and YouTube. If you want to use another service, send Jeremy a private message about it.
Music however is the limitation of the service so far. We want to add it in, but people haven't demanded it enough. So start requesting it!

I've lost my password, how do I look it up or reset it?
Simply visit the password reset form. It can be located by visiting this page. We cannot look up the password you were using before, due to our security in place. However, that form will let you change it to a password you will remember.
